General Logistics Systems Poland Sp. z o. o. can provide insurance of all client’s shipments (general cargo) as well as single parcels (individual cargo).

General cargo:

The goods are covered by insurance as of the next day after signing up the cargo annex for transport agreements.

If value of the parcel exceeds the value declared in the cargo annex insurance, the client has to inform GLS (not later than on a pick up day).

Individual cargo:

It is calculated separately for each shipment and depends on the content of the parcel, its value and transport way.

The carrier should be informed about individual insurance not later than at the parcel pick up. In addition, the customer is obliged to note time when the parcel was picked up by the courier.

In case of transporting the following goods: relocation goods, cigarettes, cigars, glass, porcelain, dry and wet products in big quantities, call phones which value exceeds 20.000 PLN – the customer has to inform the carrier at least 3 days before the planned transport day.

The transport conditions will be presented to the customer within 2 days after receiving the information about insurance. No response to this means no agreement for insurance coverage of the parcel.
